Thrifted Lauren by Ralph Lauren blouse, Grey Dog vintage skirt, F21 watch,
vintage Etienne Aigner messenger, Dolce Vita for Target wedges, Rodarte for Target thigh highs

My goodness, where in the world is Brittany Arroyos? Oh hey guys, I'm right here! This past week my schedule has been jam packed and it's only going to continue...but I will be regularly posting as well as catching up on all of your blogs. Over 300 followers? That's so surreal to me, especially in such a short time. I guess I never planned on getting over 10 followers so you guys are just the best.

The outfit:
I've had these cheese-inspired thigh highs for quite some time and decided to add them to my splash of bright colors. I LOVE COLOR. Maybe I got a little carried away but for me, this is just a quirky get up to play around in. I scored this silk blouse for $2 at a local thrift store and i absolutely love the fun print. And I love the color combination, random but I like how they work together...in a "carnival clown-chic" kind of way.

Guest Post: Julie Digs Design

Hi, my name is Julie Lungaro from Julie Digs Design and I am so thrilled to be featured here on Itty Bitty Bomb this week! As a Graphic Designer and Artist, I am constantly searching for beautiful and inspiring imagery. I love to gather "collections" of certain images that I find that have similarity and also visually appealing and fun to look at.

I am very passionate about color as it plays a vital role in my artwork and design, so today's collection is very color driven as I am featuring the color ORANGE. I have recently become a fan, and after seeing this first image with it's bold injection of color - I fell in love with it all over again. Hope you enjoy this post as much as I have. Cheers!

hey sunshine...

Hey guys, just leaving a note that I will be back by the end of this week! School, two internships, work, and extra curricular activities are taking up most of my life at the moment. But for now, enjoy the guest post from Julie! I'll be back soon!

the pleat that fixed the camel's back

vintage Dress, The Limited camel blazer, vintage cuff, Target hat, F21 ring/necklace,
vintage Etienne Aigner messenger, Dolce Vita for Target wedges

Overcast skies make for some really sweet photos, they're always my favorite days to take pics. Today I felt like playing around in my new dress that I purchased from Veronika at Tick Tock Vintage . I've been looking for long pleated skirts, and this one was just too beautiful to pass up! Sometimes I feel silly being too girly, so adding this blazer and hat suit my style--a little girly and a little tomboyish.

Oh and don't you just love designer collaborations? Dougie surprised my with these wonderful and super comfortable wedges for Valentine's day and also the Nicki Minaj album...isn't he the greatest? He remembered me crushing over these online, and they are even better in person.

Well, I'm off to catch up on some relaxation that I very much deserve :)
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend pretties!

welcome to the jungle

Vintage Ann Taylor dress  Grey Dog, Target knee highs/socks & bag, F21 belt & boots

Oh hey! You know me, just flexing my guns...sorry if the awesomeness blinded you. I found this amazing silk dress where I work and instantly fell in love--the color and the fabric is absolutely dreamy. And it makes me wish I was in Jumanji, hence my "get back you tiger, before I whip you" face in the second photo.

It's my first full week back, after almost 2 weeks of snow days! Which leads me to my slow response to replies and so on. I don't want to be one of those bloggers who never answers back...so give me time.

Another distraction....NYFW?! Favorite collections so far ( I won't bore you with a bazillion images you've already seen) :  Marc Jacobs ( "Beautiful People" is still on repeat in my head), Marc by Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu, DVF, Badgley Mischka, Donna Karan, Chris Benz, Thakoon & Rodarte.

I'm feeling some runway inspired DIYs coming soon! Any suggestions on what you want to see?

Edit: check out my guest post at missing lovebirds!

my iron-on heart

DIY denim top, Gap jeans and beanie, F21 boots & clutch

I present to you--the DIY top from my previous post. Nothing too complicated but it definitely brought new life to one of my favorite denim button ups. As you can see, the snow is melting! But I still want the cold weather to stick around, I was made for it! I'm peacing out for a few days (snow days do not mean rescheduling tests, they mean I need to start studying), but I'll get back to all of you wonderful peeps as time permits!
Finish the weekend off strong...whatever that means to you!

DIY: denim heart patch

When it comes to shopping, I'm a bargain hunter. Sometimes I can wait the two weeks, just to see the item I want drop to 50% off. I won't invest on pricey pieces unless I feel like I HAVE to have it, and usually if that does happen I end up finding a way to live without it or find something similar. Once such way, are DIY projects.

I love J.Crew--but I would never drop $100 on this adorable chambray top, even with the cute heart pocket. On a college student budget, a fashionista/o has to improvise and work with what you have...which is a good thing because you should always have your eyes open to be inspired by the world around you. Even the smallest alterations and updates to a piece in your wardrobe can make the biggest difference and will leave you and your bank account happy!

 {Inspiration via J.Crew}

J.Crew= $98
itty bitty bomb way= Under $3

This was so easy and helped me beat cabin fever. I added a patch on the back just for a little more fun. You can also sew on the patches if you're feeling up for it, or make them actual functioning pockets (I never use front pockets)!

sun child, you're a sun child

90s sweater dress, Target earrings, F21 boots and belt

I found this sweater in my mom's closet a while back and love it. The pattern on this knit sweater is so fun, not to mention the billowy sleeves. This was taken before we were dumped on again...with an additional 12"+ of snow! I'm trapped in the house again, but this time I'm prepared! This is a fake flower I had laying in my room, because Zeus decided that chewing it off would be more suitable. Well, I guess his mischief turned out positive.

Speaking of Zeus, he is the best little cuddle buddy during this weather but he finds it fun to take up half of the bed. Ok, I'm starting to sound like a crazy cat lady! The last photo was me playing around in photoshop of course, it almost reminded me of my favorite dress from the McQueen's 2010 Resort collection (here) ...ok, well at least I wish!

***Note: for those who asked about my "ring" in my last post...well, it wasn't a ring so shhh ;)

your mama don't dance, and your daddy don't rock n' roll

Allen B leather jacket (thanks mama), Target boots, thrifted dress,
 F21 beanie & tights

I've been taking full advantage of this weather, in terms of taking photos. It wasn't too cold today, but we're getting dumped on with more snow. This is what I get for wanting so much snow right?! But seriously, this is not good for a busy-body like me.

This has to be one of my favorite dresses, its so long and comfortable. I feel like Morticia Addams (I wish) lounging around. If you couldn't tell, I was feeling a little edgy and this jacket is so perfect for those days where I'm a little girly and tough.
I focused my energy and finally did another DIY and I will be posting that soon! Productivity & boredom at its best! I hope you all have a warm and safe weekend!

giveaway winner!

So out of the entries I received, I used the random number generator to choose a winner.... Ok actually I had Doug click the "generate" button because I didn't want to do it! And I had to type the names manually because some only commented once for four entries (so if the numbers don't match up that's why).  I really wish I could give each of you something!

So the winner is : Amanda from the Upside of Wonder!
Congrats! I will be contacting you soon!

acrylic rainbow

70's vintage sweater via Grey Dog, vintage Etienne Aigner messenger, F21 floppy hat, boots & dress, Gap polka dot tights, Target socks

Greetings from a snowpocalypse Fayetteville!

Remember how I was talking about warmer weather? Well that only lasted for a day. We've had a snow day WEEK since Tuesday and I just got word that class is cancelled for tomorrow too. Doug and I are trapped in his house because our driveway is pretty much on a mountain and our cars are worthless in the snow. But hey, I'll make the best of any situation!

I found this fun sweater where I work, and I'm so glad I got it just in time for this weather.  It has definitely been a week of catching up on sleep, cuddling, and experimenting with creative boredom!
Oh and my giveaway ends this Friday at 9pm (central)! You still have time!

Stay warm little snow bunnies!
